About this product
A solar array is a large metal structure in an open field, wired back to an expensive inverter. It is close to an ideal lightning target, and the surge travels down the DC string cables.
This is a DC-specific arrester rated for 1000V PV strings. Do not substitute an AC SPD here — DC current never crosses zero volts the way AC does, so a device not designed for DC cannot reliably extinguish the arc it has to break.
Two modules covering DC+ and DC−, with green/red status windows, on standard 35 mm DIN rail. Fit it in the combiner box or at the inverter DC input.
